CLP Holdings' revenue up 14.1% in Jan-Sep

Oct. 17, 2012 (China Knowledge) - CLP Holdings Ltd<0002>, Hong Kong's biggest power producer, has announced that its revenue for the first nine months of this year grow 14.1% YoY to HK$77.51 billion.

The Hong Kong listed power producer proposed an interim dividend of HK$0.53 per share.

During the nine-month period, revenue from its Hong Kong business increased 9.7% YoY to HK$25.56 billion, while that from its Australia business surged 15.9% from a year earlier to HK$48.77 billion.

In the first nine months of this year, The company sold 24,828 gigawatt hours (GWh) in Hong Kong, reflecting a YoY increase of 2.9%, while its electricity sales in mainland China decreased 16.7% YoY to 1,441 GWh during the nine-month period.
