>, a restaurant chain operator, has announced that its net profit for the first half of this year plunge 81.6% YoY to HK$46.93 million.
According to a statement filed with Hong Kong Stock Exchange
, basic earnings per share for the period were HK$0.04, down 81.7% from a year earlier.
From January to June, the company saw its operation revenue decrease 9.2% YoY to HK$1.51 billion.
The company said the lower sales were mainly due to the sluggish economic in both mainland China and Hong Kong.
As of the end of Jun 30, 2012, Ajisen (China) had a total of 672 chain restaurants, 96 restaurants more than at the end of June 2011.
