>, the country's second-largest coal miner by revenue, said yesterday that its commercial coal output rose 0.2% YoY to 8.86 million metric tons in August this year.
Last month, the company sold 11 million metric tons of coal, 4.6% less than in the same month of last year.
In the first eight months of this year, China Coal Energy's coal output amounted to 73.13 metric tons, reflecting a YoY increase of 5.5%.
While its coal sales for the eight-month period grew 5.5% from a year earlier to 92.78 million metric tons.
In the first half of this year, the company saw its net profit attributable to shareholders decrease 4.1% YoY to RMB 4.77 billion, China Knowledge reported earlier
