Province saw its foreign trade value grew 18.7% YoY but down 1.4% MoM to US$3.5 billion in August this year, according to the latest statistics released by the Zhengzhou
In August, the province's export value edge up 0.4% YoY to US$1.66 billion. The growth rate for last month hit a new low in nearly 33 months.
In the first eight months of this year, Henan Province realized US$28.77 billion in foreign trade value, 64.3% more than it realized in the corresponding period of last year, which ranked first among six provinces in central China.
The export value for the eight-month period surged 63.4% YoY to US$16.78 billion, while the import value grew 65.5% YoY to US$11.98 billion.
Foxconn Group generated US$13.56 billion in import and export value in the first eight months period, accounted for 47.1% of the province's total.
