>, the listed unit of China's largest privately-owned carmaker Zhejiang Geely Holding, has said that its auto sale were 30,171 units in August this year, up 18% year on year or 7% month on month.
The Hong Kong-listed
company saw its sales of Geely Emgrand, Geely Englon and Geely Gleagle reach 9,120 units, 10,237 units and 10,814 units in August, respectively.
Last month, the company exported more than 8,600 vehicles.
In the first eight months of this year, the automaker's sales rose about 8% YoY to 280,883 units, accounting for about 61% its sales target of 460,000 units for 2012.
The company's net profit rose 8.7% YoY to RMB 1.02 billion in the first half of this year, boosted by steady auto sales and improving gross profit margin, China Knowledge reported earlier.
