>, the construction flagship of China Overseas Holdings Limited, announced that it had signed HK$32.95 billion new contracts in the first eight months of this year, reflecting a YoY increase of 28.06%.
The company said the new contract value for the first eight month of this year accounted for 94.14% of its annual target of HK$35 billion.
The new contract value from its infrastructure investment business decreased 23.07% YoY to HK$12.34 billion, while that from its engineering and related business surged 93.09% YoY to HK$18.71 billion.
As of Aug 31, 2012, the company had HK$102.49 billion worth of contracts in hand, including HK$66.02 billion work-in-progress, up 29.27% from a year earlier.
