>, the country's largest coal producer, has announced its net profit attributable to shareholders rose 14.7% YoY to RMB 24.18 billion in the first half of this year.
Basic earnings per share for the period were RMB 1.27, up 14.7% from a year earlier.
From January to June, the coal producer saw its operation revenue reached RMB 121.47 billion, reflecting a YoY increase of 20.1%.
In the first six months of this year, the company's output of commercial coal amounted to 155.8 million metric tons, up 11% YoY, while it sold 222.1 million metric tons of coal during the period, 16.2% more than it realized in the first half of 2011.
Meanwhile, China Shenhua Energy saw its electricity output grew 15.4% YoY to 102.73 terawatt hours (TWh) in the six months period, and its electricity sales increased 15.3% YoY to 95.66 TWhs.
