Aug. 9, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Daimler AG's luxury car unit Mercedes-Benz announced that it sold a total of 119,980 vehicles in China
in the first seven months of this year, reflecting a YoY increase of 10%.
In July 2012, the automaker sold 14,760 vehicles in China, including the models of Mercedes-Benz, Smart and Maybach, up 2% YoY.
Last month, the sales of domestically-made C-Class cars, a core model of Mercedes-Benz, soared 134% YoY, making the total sales in the first seven months jump 26% from the same period of last year.
The company saw its sales of Smart vehicles surge 30% YoY to 1,080 units in July and its total reach 9,740 units in the first seven months, reflecting a strong growth of 55% YoY.
