Aug. 8, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Mazda Motor Corp, a Japanese automobile maker, announced that its auto sales in China
decreased 12% YoY last month to 14,328 units.
In the first seven month of this year, the company's auto sales amounted to 118,319 units, reflecting a YoY decrease of 0.5%.
Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co, Ford Motor's passenger vehicle joint venture in China, sold 50,267 Mazda-branded vehicles during the seven-month period, 20% more than it realized in the same period of 2011.
Meanwhile, FAW Mazda Motor Sales Co Ltd, a joint venture between FAW Group and Mazda Motor, sold a total of 68,052 vehicles in China, down 12% from a year earlier.
As of the end of Jul, the Japanese automaker had 385 4S dealers in China, and it aims to enlarge the number to over 420 by the end of this year.
