>, China's leading manufacturer of athletic footwear, announced yesterday that its net profit for the first half of this year decreased 17% YoY to RMB 770 million.
Operating revenue for the six-month period dropped 11.6% YoY to RMB 3.93 billion, compared with an increase of 28.9% in the same period of 2011.
Of the total revenue last year, 49.2% or RMB 1.94 billion was contributed by footwear, decreased12.3% from a year earlier. While revenue from apparel and accessories reached RMB 1.86 and RMB 137.8 million, down 10.6% and 15.9% YoY, respectively.
As of Jun 30, 2012, the company had 7,807 outlets in China, less than the 7,844 units at the end of Jun 2011, sources reported.
