Aug. 6, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Japanese auto giant Toyota Motor Corp and Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co, a joint venture between FAW Car Co Ltd<000800
> and Toyota Motor Corp, will recall 160,784 units of RAV4 in China from Sep 3, said the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine
in a statement published on its website.
The quality watchdog said the affected autos include 13,474 units of imported RAV4 which were manufactured between July 21, 2005 and November 28, 2008, and another 147,310 units of RAV4 which were manufactured between February 6, 2009 and October 31, 2010.
The automaker said that the faulty rear suspension in these autos might Influence the vehicle's stability, adding that all affected RAV4 models will be fixed free.
In the first half of this year, the Japanese saw its China sales increased 24.9% YoY to 442,500 units, China Knowledge reported earlier
