Province saw its sales area of properties developed by real estate companies decreased 22.3% YoY to 18.69 million square meters in the first half of this year, according to the latest figures from the Hebei
In the first six-month period, the total sales of properties amounted to RMB 83.75 billion, reflecting a YoY decrease of 10.2%.
Meanwhile, the sales of residential properties dropped 14.1% YoY to RMB 70.49 billion with sold area of 16.74 million sq m, down 24% from a year earlier.
The Province constructed a total of 42.35 million sq m of properties in the first half of this year, including 32.35 million sq m of residential properties, 33.1% lower than a year earlier.
During the period from January to June, the province's investment in property development dropped 4.3% YoY to RMB 137.09 billion. Investment in residential properties declined 4.8% YoY to RMB 101.65 billion.
