Jul. 30, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China's revenue for software industry increased 26.2%YoY to about RMB 1.09 trillion in the first six months of this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology
The growth rate was 3.1 percentage points lower than that in the same period of 2011.
In June, the industry's revenue rose 22.7% YoY or 14% MoM to RMB 238 billion.
The software industry realized RMB 117 billion in gross profit in the first six months, reflecting a growth of YoY, but the growth rate was 24.6 percentage points lower than that in H1 of 2011.
Revenue from the data processing and operating services grew 37.1% YoY to RMB 189.7 billion, accounting for 17.3% of the industry's total, up from 15.9% in H1 of last year. Revenue from IT consulting services saw slower growth of up 25.6% YoY, reaching RMB 102 billion in the period.
The software products’ sales rose 25.4% YoY to RMB 364.4 billion and that from information system integration services rose 21.8% to RMB 228 billion.
The embedded system software’s revenue saw slower growth of 22.7% YoY, hitting RMB 178.2 billion during the period.
The software industry's export value rose only 11.7% YoY to US$12.24 billion in the first six months. Outsourcing service exports grew 24.6% to US$3.47 billion in the period.
Software revenue in western China maintained high growth, jumping 32.3% YoY to RMB 112.07 billion in the six-month period, with revenue in Chongqing
Province and Shaanxi
Province rising more than 30%.
