Jul. 27, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi Corp saw its sales revenue for the first half of this year hit RMB 6.05 billion.
Earlier this month, Lei Jun, president of Xiaomi Corp, said its smart phone sales had exceeded 3 million units since it started selling in Oct 2011.
Last month, the company announced that it had gotten its third round of financing worth US$216 million, thus, increasing its valuation to US$4 billion and surpassed Canada-based Research In Motion Ltd.
Li Wanqiang, co-founder of Xiaomi Corp, earlier expected that Xiaomi will sell 5 million smart phones in 2012 with annual sales revenue of about RMB 10 billion.
