China Huadian's electricity output up 5% in H1

Jul. 27, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China Huadian Corp, one of the five largest state-owned power generation enterprises in the country, said yesterday that it generated 213 terawatt hours (TWhs) of electricity in the first half of this year, reflecting a YoY increase of 5%.

Meanwhile, the power generation enterprises produced 14.95 million metric tons of raw coal in the six-month period, surged 107% than in the corresponding period of 2011.

In the first half of this year, China Huadian Corp saw its sales revenue amounted to RMB 89.2 billion.

At the end of Jun 2012, the company's installed capacity hit 96.98 million kilowatts, while its annual coal production reached 28.04 million metric tons, sources reported.
