Jul. 16, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Hyundai Motor Co, the top carmaker in South Korea, saw its auto
sales in China increase 9% YoY to 93,709 units last month.
Beijing Hyundai Motor, a joint venture established by Hyundai Motor Co and Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co Ltd, sold a total of 58,156 units in June, including 15,245 units of Verna models, 7,832 units of 8th Sonata models and 7,150 units of ix35 models.
Meanwhile, Dongfeng Yuedakia Automobile, a joint venture between the Dongfeng Motor and South Korean-based Kia Motors saw its auto sales reach 35,553 units last month, and the sales of its K2 model exceeded 12,237 units in the month.
The Korea automaker earlier expects that its auto sales in China will reach 1.2 million units in 2012, source reported.
