China Int'l Travel Service expects profit up 50% in H1 2012

Jul. 13, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China International Travel Service Corp Ltd<601888>, the largest travel agency in China, expects its profit attributable to shareholders to surge more than 50% in the first half of this year.

In a statement filed with Shanghai Stock Exchange, the travel agency said that huge growth was due to its  duty-free shops in Sanya, Hainan province .

In the first half of 2011, the company booked RMB 331 million in net profit, and basic earnings per share were RMB 0.38.

In the first quarter of this year, China International Travel Service Corp saw its net profit skyrocketed 187.26% from a year earlier to RMB 325 million, while its basic earnings per share were RMB 0.38.
