Jul. 13, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China's gross domestic product
grew 7.6% YoY in the second quarter of this year, according to latest statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics
The GDP growth in Q2 was lower than the 8.1% increase in Q1.
On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the country's GDP in Q2 grew 1.8% from the previous quarter.
In the first six months, China's GDP
totaled about RMB 22.71 trillion, up 7.8% YoY. The GDP included RMB 1.75 trillion generated by the primary sector, 4.3% more than in the same period of 2011.
RMB 11.10 trillion and RMB 9.87 trillion were generated in the secondary sector and the tertiary sector in the first half, 8.3% and 7.7% more than in H1 of 2011, respectively.
The bureau also said that the country's summer grain output climbed 2.8% YoY to 129.95 million metric tons.
