Jul. 10, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Ford Motor Co, the second-largest car company in the U.S., announced yesterday that its auto sales in China rose 18% from a year earlier to 52,440 units last month.
The increase is mainly boosted by the strong sales of its new Ford Focus model, said the automaker.
Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co, Ford Motor's passenger vehicle joint venture in China, sold 37,038 vehicles in Jun, up 28% than in the same month of last year, of which, 15,000 units were Ford Focus.

In the first half of 2012, the U.S. automaker's China sales exceeded 227,322 units, 1% more than it realized in the same period of 2011, sources reported.
