Audi's China sales up 37.8% in H1

Jul. 6, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Audi AG, a German subsidiary of Volkswagen AG, has that it sold 193,871 vehicles in China in the first six months of this year, reflecting a YoY increase of 37.8%, due to robust sales of Audi Q5 model.
The sales of Audi Q5 vehicles surged 86.7% YoY to 43,150 units in H1.

Last month, the automaker saw its China sales, including sales in Hong Kong, reached 33,309 units, up 20.4% from the same month of last year.
The automaker is expected to introduce Audi Q3 to the Chinese market late this month.
In 2011, Audi sold 309,888 vehicles, consisting of 252,000 locally-made cars and 57,888 imported vehicles, in mainland China, according to an earlier report from China Knowledge.
