Jul. 5, 2012 (China Knowledge) - BMW (China) Automotive Trading Ltd and BMW Brilliance Automotive will recall 2907 BMW cars in China from Aug. 15, due to defects in their steering systems, said the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine
said in a statement yesterday.
This is the fifth recall of BMW vehicles this year.
The quality watchdog said the recall will involve 2,712 BMW 3 Series cars, which were produced between November 2010 and February 2012, 114 domestically-made BMW X1 vehicles, which were produced between December 2010 and December 2011, 49 imported BMW 3 Series vehicles and 32 BMW Z4 vehicles.
Both companies will offer free replacements for the faulty components.
