Beijing’s home sales rebound in Jun

Jul. 3, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Beijing, the capital city of China, saw the number of home sales transactions surged 50.6% YoY or 10.5% from a month earlier to 25,602 units in June, according to the latest statistic released by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

Last month, the sales of new home in Beijing reached yearly high of 11,983 units, reflecting a YoY increase of 39.1%. The average transaction price of the city's new home was RMB 20,678 per sq m last month, up 0.3% YoY.

Developers lower the home price has caused the rebound in home transaction volume, said an officer of Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

From January to June 2012, Beijing’s new home transaction grew 10.7% YoY to 48,380 units, and its second-home transaction hit 55,816 units in the six month period, sources reported.
