Nike’s China sales up 18% in Q4

Jul. 3, 2012 (China Knowledge) – Nike Inc, the world's leading sportswear producer and seller, announced that its sales in Greater China grew 18% YoY to US$667 million in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year ended May 31.

The sportswear giant saw its sales revenue for the last quarter at 3.9% less than it realized in the third quarter of the fiscal year.

In the whole fiscal year ended May 31, the company's sales in the region reached US$2.54 billion, US$ 480 million more than it realized in last fiscal year.

Earnings before interest and taxes or EBIT of Nike Greater China hit US$911 million in the fiscal year, which consists of US$171 million in Q1, US$220 million in Q2, US$273 million in Q3 and US$247 million in Q4, and grew 4%, 26%, 28% and 9% YoY, respectively.
