Jun. 25, 2012 (China Knowledge) – Brazilian aircraft maker Embraer S.A. recently inks an agreement with AVIC International Holding Corp, a unit of state-owned Aviation Industry Corp of China
or AVIC, to build Embraer's Legacy 600 and Legacy 650 plane in China
, sources reported.
According to the agreement, the two companies will take advantage of Embraer's Chinese JV, Harbin Embraer Aircraft Industry Co Ltd.'s infrastructure and human resource.
Set up in 2002, Harbin Embraer Aircraft Industry Co is responsible for the manufacture of Embraer's ERJ145 and aims for first deliver by the end of 2013.
Meanwhile, Harbin Embraer Aircraft Industry Co inks a sale agreement to sell 10 units of Legacy 650 planes to ICBC Financial Leasing Co Ltd, the agreement consists of 5 confirmed and 5 optional orders.
So far, the Brazilian aircraft maker saw its confirmed orders in China
to reach159 units.
