Jun. 18, 2012 (China Knowledge) – Deutsche Telekom AG, the largest telecommunication company in Europe, announced last Saturday that it has established the company's first China-based global development center in Wuhan
East Lake High-tech Park.
The new center will focus on the development of Deutsche Telekom's core technology including vehicle telematics, cloud computing and air traffic, said the company.
With a total investment of over USD 50 million, the construction of the center will take 4 years with initial investment of about USD 7 million. By 2014, it plans to hire about 1,000 employees.
The high quality technical education and good supply of IT talents give Wuhan
the advantage over other Chinese cities is the main reason that Deutsche Telekom AG decided to set up it global development center in the city, said its senior vice president.
At present, Wuhan East Lake High-tech Park had attracted many Fortune 500’s enterprises in the telecommunication sector that includes France Telecom, Ericsson, Huawei, China Telecom<0728
