Jun. 15, 2012 (China Knowledge) – Volkswagen AG announced that its auto sales in China surged 23.7% YoY to 221,100 vehicles in May, sources reported.
From January to May this year, the German automaker saw its auto sales in China amounted to 1.08 million units, reflecting a YoY increase of 17.5%.
The sales of its imported vehicles into China reached 65,800 units in the five month period, including 33,400 units of Volkswagen and 31,100 units of Audi.

Automotive Industry Corp (SAIC) and Germany-based Volkswagen AG, saw its auto sales totaled 532,400 units in the first five month of this year.
Earlier this month, the automaker announced that it plans to double its capacity to 4 million units per year in China by 2018, sources reported.
