China's auto export up 43.3% in May

Jun. 13, 2012 (China Knowledge) – China's automobile manufacturers saw their auto export exceeded 103,400 units in May, reflecting a YoY increase of 43.4%, according to the statistic released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

In the first five month of this year, the country's auto export totaled 382,500 units, 28.8% more than it realized in the same period of last year.

Algeria, Russia, Chile, Iraq and Iran are the major export destinations for China's auto industry.

During the five month period, China's auto import increased 27.6% than a year earlier to 489,500 units, which includes 479,000 units of passenger cars, 27.8% more than in the corresponding period of 2011, sources reported.
