Beijing E-Town showcase its national e-commerce base

Jun. 6, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Beijing E-Town, a triple-A rated industrial park, is among 34 industry parks approved as the first national e-commerce demonstrative base at the 2012 China Electronic Commerce Conference held in Beijing last week.

As one of the first national e-commerce demonstrative bases, Beijing E-Town has attracted nearly 210 e-commerce enterprises that include 360buy, VANCL and New York-listed Vipshop Holdings Ltd.

Beijing E-Town's logistics service in the vicinity greatly support the development of e-commerce activities, many world leading logistic enterprises such as DHL, British Airways, Yuhai global logistics and Foxconn Logistics are presence in the area. There is also a bonded logistics center in the industrial park to aid its distribution system.

Besides the advantages being located in Beijing E-Town, the area is also China's largest cloud industry park that provides massive data storage and related services for e-commerce industry.

According to Beijing E-Town's forecasts, by 2015, it aims to realize RMB 100 billion in B2C trading volume that could account for over 9% of its total retail sales in the area, and provide job opportunities to over 100,000 employees.
