May. 30, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China saw revenue derived from software industry reach RMB 652 billion in the first four months of this year, reflecting a YoY increase of 26%, according to the nation's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology
The growth was 1.9 percentage points lower than in the first four months of 2011 and also declined by 0.4 percentage points from the first quarter of 2012.
In April alone, the revenue in software industry grew 25.2% from a year earlier, and the growth was 5.5 percentage points lower than in the same period of 2011 but up 2.8% on a MoM basis.
About 33.1% of the total revenue was contributed by software product sales in the first four months of this year, while 20.9% from system integration, 9% from consulting service, 16.5% from operation service, 16.9% from embedded type products and 3.6% from integrated circuit design.
During the period from January to April 2012, China's software export value increased by 10.2% YoY to US$10.47 billion, but the growth was 13 percentage points lower than in the same period of last year, sources reported.
