>, the nation's largest fixed-line operator, added 2.68 million new users for its CDMA services last month, including 2.01 million 3G subscribers, according to a statement.
The telecom operator had 138.51 million CDMA users as of the end of April, of which 45.56 million were 3G users.
Net decline of fixed-line users reached 430,000 in April, more than the 320,000 decrease in March. China Telecom's fixed-line user volume had fallen to 168.28 million at the end of last month.
The company added 1.05 million broadband users last month, compared with a net addition of 1.25 million in March, which brought the firm's total broadband user volume to 81.45 million at the end of April 2012.
All the three telecom carriers in China saw decreases in net addition of 3G users in April, due to higher 3G penetration rate and slowing economy, according to industry analysts. China Mobile Ltd<0941
