May. 2, 2012 (China Knowledge) – Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co Ltd, a joint venture between PSA Peugeot Citroen and China's Dongfeng Motor Corp, has begun recalling 63,301 Citroen C5 vehicles, according to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ)
The affected C5 models were produced from Sep. 11, 2009 to Oct. 14, 2011.
The JV said the faulty bolt might be fracture during the drive, and could cause the back wheel off axis, adding that the company will conduct free inspection and repair for all affected vehicles.
Last year, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile sold 4.04 million vehicles including 2.3 million vehicles of Dongfeng Citroen brand and 1.74 million vehicles of Dongfeng Peugeot brand, up 8.24% than a year earlier, sources reported.
