Gross margin for the three months ended Jun. 30, 2012 is expected to reach 27%, less than 28.8% on a year-on-year basis, with estimated operating margin of 11%.

In the first quarter of this year, HTC reaped NT$4.46 billion in un-audited net profit, reflecting a year-on-year plunge of 70% from NT$14.83 billion. Earnings per share dropped 71% to NT$5.35.

Sales revenue for the first quarter of 2012 totaled NT$67.8 billion, down 35% year on year or down 33% quarter on quarter.
