Apr. 16, 2012 (China Knowledge) – Jaguar Land Rover, British based automaker owned by Tata Motors of India, said that its auto sales in China
surged 110% year on year to 17,997 vehicles in the first quarter of this year, sources reported.
The sales in the three-month period have surpassed the total sales it realized in the whole year of 2009, said Gao Bo, Jaguar Land Rover China CEO.
From January to March, the automaker saw its sales of Land Rover soared 105% year on year to 15,899 vehicles in China
, including 4,881 vehicles of Evoque models, and the sales of Jaguar brand reached 2,098 vehicles, jumped 156% than a year earlier.
Last year, Jaguar Land Rover's total sales in China
