, the world's largest steel producer, saw its exports of steel products grew 2.44% year on year to 5.03 million tons in March this year, according to the latest statistics released by the China
Iron and Steel Association, or CISA.
Last month, the country imported 1.27 million tons of steel products, down 20.47% year on year but up 2.42% month on month. Meanwhile, the imports of billet and iron ore for last month reached 0.04 million tons and 62.87 million tons, respectively.
In the first three month of this year, the country exported a total of 12.15 million tons of steel products, reflecting a year on year increase of 15.8%. However, the exports of coke in this period plunged 79.3% year on year to 0.25 million tons.
