>, the country's largest wind-power producer, generated 2,520 gigawatt hours of electricity in March 2012, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 5.36%.
In a statement filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange
, the company said growth its thermal power output climbed 0.37%, wind power output increased 6.49% and the other renewable energy output jumped 209.46%.
During the period from January to March 2012, the company saw its total electricity output reach 6,960 GWh, 6.92% more than in the corresponding period of 2011. Growth of thermal power output declined 2.23%, wind power output increased 12.07% and the other renewable energy output soared 184.24%.
China Longyuan Power is the largest wind power supplier with installed capacity of 10.57 GW. The firm earned RMB 2.64 billion in net profit last year, up 31% from a year earlier, and its operating revenue increased by 20.4% year on year to RMB 15.37 billion in 2011.
