Apr. 11, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Shanghai GM, a joint venture between General Motors and SAIC Motor Corp Ltd<600104>, China's No.1 car maker, has begun recalling 6,365 imported Buick Enclave vehicles in China, according to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ).

The affected Enclave models were produced between Jan. 17, 2010, and Mar. 5, 2012.

The JV said the wiper arm may stop working under the high load conditions such as covered by snow, adding that all affected Enclave models will be fixed free.

At the end month of last year, Shanghai GM also recalled nearly 10,000 Cadillac in China that were manufactured between February and June 2011.

In Feb 2012, the JV said that it plans to build its fourth Chinese plant in Jiangxia District of Wuhan, Hubei Province with an investment of RMB 7 billion, China Knowledge reported earlier.
