saw its advertising market of outdoor LED displays reach RMB 2.65 billion in the fourth quarter of 2011, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 46.8% or a sequential increase of 13.9%, according to statistics released by Analysys International, a market research company.
In the first quarter of 2011, the advertising market in such industry plunged 10.5% sequentially to RMB 1.61 billion, but surged by 21.9% sequentially to RMB 1.96 billion in the second quarter and increased by 18.7% sequentially to RMB 2.33 billion in the third quarter.
During the period from October to December 2011, China
saw 39.3% of the total outdoor LED displays are in office buildings, 1.2 percentage points more than 38.1% in the third quarter of last year.
Around 24.1% of the outdoor LED displays are in buses and metro stations in the fourth quarter 2011, 15.7% in extra-large LED sector, 5.5% in airport terminals, 5% in train stations, 4.4% in stores, 0.5% in the campus and the remaining 5.5% in the other areas, sources reported.
