Apr. 9, 2012 (China Knowledge) - U.S.-based auto giant General Motors Corp and its China
joint ventures sold a total of 257,944 vehicles in March this year, representing a year-on-year increase of 10.7%, sources reported.
The sales last month were the highest March sales on record.
In the first three months of this year, GM and its China
joint ventures sold 745,152 cars in total, 8.7% more than in the same period of last year and reflecting the highest quarterly sales ever recorded.Shanghai
General Motors Co Ltd, SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co Ltd and FAW-GM all saw month-on-month increases in auto sales in March.
In 2011, the auto sales of GM and its China
joint ventures reached 2.55 million units, up 8.3% from 2010, China Knowledge reported earlier
