Apr. 9, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China's software and information technology service industry is expected to see an annual growth of over 24.5% in the next few years and realize revenue of more than RMB 4 trillion in 2015, according to the industry's Twelfth Five-Year Development Plan released by the Ministry of Industry of Information Technology
The revenue will account for about 25% of the total of the information industry, said the ministry.
The ministry expected the country's software exports to reach US$60 billion and revenue from IT services to top RMB 2.5 trillion by 2015.
In 2010, revenue of the software and information technology service industry was RMB 1.36 trillion, 3.5 times the amount in 2005 and accounting for 18% of the total output value in the electronics and IT industry. There were more than 2,000 software enterprises each with annual revenue of over RMB 100 million in the country, seven enterprises each with revenue of over RMB 5 billion, four enterprises with revenue of more than RMB 10 billion and only one company with revenue of more than RMB 50 billion.
