Apr. 5, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Toyota Motor Corp, along its two joint ventures in China
, sold 86,000 vehicles in the country last month, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 2.2%, said Spokesperson Takanori Yokoi.
In the first three months of this year, Toyota saw its China
sales amount to 211,500, up 1.8% from a year earlier.
Takanori Yokoi noted that the Japanese auto maker has nearly recovered from the devastating March earthquake.
In 2012, Toyota aims to sell 1 million vehicles in China
, representing a year-on-year growth of 13%. The company's auto sales in China
rose only 4.4% from 2010 to 883,400 units last year.
