Apr. 2, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China's revenue for software industry increased 25.7% year on year to nearly RMB 285.9 billion in the first two months of this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology
The growth rate was 1.9 percentage points higher than that in the corresponding period of 2011.
The industry saw its gross profit grow 11.7% year on year to RMB 31.1 billion in the period, slowing from a 31% increase in the same period of last year.
Revenue from IT consulting services reached RMB 25.7 billion in the first two months, up 32.5% year on year, and that from the data processing and operating services grew 27.4% year on year to RMB 38.7 billion.
The software products’ sales rose 23.4% year on year to RMB 97 billion and that from information system integration services rose 19% to RMB 62 billion.
The embedded system software’s revenue saw higher growth of 34.4% year on year, hitting RMB 50.7 billion during the period.
The integrated circuit design’s incomes saw a faster growth of 28.8% year on year to RMB 11.8 billion during the period, and the growth rate was 9.10 percentage points higher than that in the same period of last year.
Export value of the software industry increased 15.1% to US$4.7 billion in the period, whereas it increased 27.1% in the same period of last year. Outsourcing service exports grew 37.4% to US$990 million in the first two months.
