Mar. 29, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China saw its investment in the industrial sector rise 23.4% year on year to RMB 868.1 billion in the first two months of this year, according to the latest statistics released by National Bureau of Statistics
The growth rate was 1.2 percentage points lower than that in the same period of last year.
The country's investment in the mining industry jumped 22.9% year on year to RMB 45.6 billion, and the growth rate was 8.4 percentage points higher than that in the corresponding period of 2010.
The investment in the manufacturing sector experienced a slower growth of 24.7% year on year, hitting RMB 728.4 billion.
The power, gas and water producing and supplying industry saw a faster growth of 14.8%, reaching RMB 94.1 billion in the first two months.
