Mar. 9, 2012 (China Knowledge) - France's automaker Renault SA Renault aims to sell 40,000 to 50,000 imported vehicles in China this year, said Renault China CEO Chen Guozhang.
Chen noted that Renault's sales in China increased from over 5,000 units in 2009, to 14,000 units in 2010 and around 25,000 units in 2011, reflecting constant increases.
Last year, vehicle sales in Guangdong
Province accounted for 10% of the total sold by Renault, which intends to open more outlets in Chinese second and third-tier cities.
Sales ratio of the Koleos SUVs decreased from 93% to 87% last year, signifying that sales of other models, including the Fluence, Latitude and Scenic, have increased.
Chen also said Renault will introduce a new high-end model, the Codenamed L47, at the Beijing
International Automobile Exhibition next month.
