, reaped RMB 15 million or around US$2.4 million in net profit in the fourth quarter of 2011, more than tripled the net profit of RMB 4.2 million in the same quarter of 2010.
In the three months ended Dec. 31, 2011, the U.S.-listed firm's operating revenue totaled RMB 158.2 million, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 27% from RMB 124.1 million.
Diluted earnings per American Depositary Share for the fourth quarter of last year were RMB 0.44, compared with RMB 0.16 in the prior year quarter.
For the whole year of 2011, eLong's net profit soared 90% from RMB 20.6 million to RMB 39.3 million. Operating revenue totaled RMB 586.2 million, up 22% year on year from RMB 481.9 million.
Diluted earnings per ADS stood at RMB 1.26 last year, much higher than RMB 0.80 in 2010.
Hotel room nights booked via eLong increased by 44% to 9.2 million in 2011, compared with 6.4 million in the prior year.
In addition, eLong targets operating revenue growth between 15% and 25% for the first quarter of 2012.
