Province, according to a statement released by the Hong Kong
and U.S.-listed firm.
The new facility is expected to become China Mobile's main IDC base in central and western China, said the Chinese telecom giant.
The proposed IDC, which will cover an area of 400 mu and be completed in 2019, will focus on the development of IT supporting platforms, core networks and relevant business platforms.
A person familiar with the matter said the new center is designed to carry over 250,000 racks, 1.2 times as much as the current IDC service capacity in Chengdu
, adding that output value of the IDC base would reach RMB 90 billion per year.
