Automobile Group, led the list of companies with the most vehicles recalled in 2011, according to China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine
Last year, the JV recalled 605,025 Accords, 151,489 Odysseys, 186,389 Fit, 115,455 City subcompacts and 81,547 City. The JV's vehicles recalls accounted for 63.3% of all recalls in China last year. Shanghai
GM ranked second with 246,468 vehicles recalled in 2011, followed by Changan Ford Mazda with 88,082 units, Beijing
Hyundai with 72,868 units and Dongfeng PSA with 63,491 units.
In 2011, over 1.8 million vehicles were recalled in 82 separate recalls last year. Of the 82 recalls, 44 were for imported models, while the remaining 38 for domestically produced vehicles.
Since 2004, China began carrying out the faulted-vehicle recall policy, a total of 6.2 million autos have been recalled in the country with recalled volume increased year by year, said analysts.
