Chery sees 21.2% growth in auto exports in Jan

Feb. 10, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Chery Automobile Co Ltd, the largest private automaker in China, exported 11,823 vehicles in January this year, reflecting a robust growth of 21.2% year on year.

The auto exports last month represented a 25.1% increase from December.

The exports of Chery Tiggo, the top export model, reached 5,185 units, accounting for 43.9% of the total.

In 2011, the automaker saw its auto exports hit a record 160,200 units, maintaining its position as the largest exporter among domestic carmakers for the ninth consecutive year.

China's auto exports surged 50.03% year on year to 849,500 units last year, reflecting the highest level ever recorded.
