Feb. 10, 2012 (China Knowledge) - AVIC International Leasing Co Ltd, controlled by Aviation Industry Corp of China
or AVIC, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Bombardier Aerospace, a division of well-known aircraft manufacturer Bombardier Inc, to further enhance their cooperation for aircraft financing.
The deal is expected to increase Bombardier's aircraft sales in China
and even the world, said analysts.
Zhao Hongwei, president of AVIC International Leasing, said a great variety of commercial aircraft made by Bombardier would meet the demand in China
's rapid growing aviation industry.
At present, over 80 Bombardier-made aircraft, including CRJ Series and Q-Series commercial aircraft, as well as Learjet, Challenger and Global business jets operate in China

In the next 20 years, China
is expected to become the world's second largest aircraft market after the U.S., said Canada-based Bombardier, adding that nearly 2,400 commercial aircraft each with 60 to 149 seats would be delivered in China
