Feb. 9, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Ford Motor Co, the second-largest car company in the U.S., has said that it sold 30,976 cars in China in January this year, 41.9% less than that during the corresponding period of 2011.
The sharp decline in auto sales last month was due to a low inventory and the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday.
Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co, Ford Motor's passenger vehicle joint venture in China, sold 18,324 Ford-branded vehicles last month, reflecting a decrease of 43% year on year.
