eb. 8, 2012 (China Knowledge) - U.S.-based auto giant General Motors Corp and its China joint ventures sold a total of 246,654 vehicles in January this year, representing a year-on-year decline of 8%, said the automaker in a statement.

Automotive Industry Corp, sold 124,073 cars last month, including 71,056 Buick vehicles. No comparable figures were given in the statement.
GM's three-way joint venture SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co Ltd saw its sales of mini-vans and passenger cars reach 119, 948 units last month.
FAW-GM, the joint venture between GM and FAW Group, delivered 2,433 vehicles in January this year.
In 2011, GM's China sales grew 8.3% year on year to 2.55 million units.
